Zantaf gear is a comfort and coverage accessory for dogs. It is not a medical device, not personal protective equipment, and not certified safety equipment. It has not been evaluated or approved by the FDA, the EPA, or any veterinary or safety certification body.

We do not publish a noise reduction rating (NRR) or decibel figure for our ear protection hood, and we make no claim that it prevents hearing damage, eliminates noise, cures or treats noise anxiety, or produces any medical or behavioural outcome.

Never leave a dog unattended while wearing Zantaf gear.

• Always supervise your dog for the entire time the hood is worn.
• Do not use it during crating, sleeping, swimming, or unsupervised play.
• Do not leave it on a dog that is left alone in a vehicle or at home.
• Remove it immediately if your dog shows distress, panting, pawing at the hood, attempts to remove it, or any sign of discomfort.

A poor fit can cause chafing, restricted movement or distress. The hood should be snug enough not to slip, but never tight. You should be able to slide fingers comfortably beneath the strap, and the padded rings should surround the ears without pressing on them.

Introduce the gear gradually. Let your dog investigate it, then build up from short, calm, rewarded sessions at home before using it anywhere busy or loud. Do not force a dog that resists wearing it.

Check the fit before every use, and inspect the hood regularly for worn stitching, damaged padding, frayed webbing or a buckle that no longer closes securely. Stop using any item that shows this kind of wear.

Do not use this product on a dog that has an ear infection, an open wound, a skin condition, or recent surgery in the head or neck area; that has difficulty breathing or a condition affecting the airway; that is prone to overheating; or that has previously reacted badly to head-worn gear. If you are unsure whether it is appropriate for your dog, ask your veterinarian first.

You are responsible for your dog’s welfare and for using this product correctly, including choosing the right size, fitting it properly, supervising its use, and stopping use when appropriate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZANTAF LLC is not liable for injury, harm, distress or loss resulting from misuse, improper fit, unsupervised use, continued use of a worn or damaged item, or use contrary to the guidance on this page.
